About the Ministry
The Water’s Edge has launched a Financial Coaching ministry to help individual and families reach their financial goals ranging from getting out of debt to building wealth and preparing for retirement. This coaching is based on financial principles taught by Ramsey Solutions through Financial Peace University. Ron Christensen is designated as a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach. He is ready to assist you in reaching your financial goals.
What does the Financial Coach do?
The Financial Coach
- Listens to understand your situation
- Teaches and provides you information and resources that will help you take steps toward your goals
- Works with you to identify options
- Assures complete confidentiality regarding your situation
A financial coach is like a “personal trainer” for your finances. Ron offers an independent perspective and can help you develop a personalized plan to meet your needs.
Financial Coaching Session
Prior to the session, you will provide some basic information that will provide a basis for our discussion. During the session, we will focus on priorities and issues that are important to you.
Coaching Fees: The fee for one session is $125 ($100 if you have completed Financial Peace University). A reduced rate for scheduling multiple sessions is available. (Example: 3 sessions for $300). Proceeds will go to The Water’s Edge Endowment Fund.
About Ron Christensen
Ron completed the requirements to be designated as a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach. This training included:
- A 2 ½ day on-site training working with Ramsey Solutions senior financial coaches
- A 3 month mentoring program that included on-line training, case studies dealing with real life financial situations, and personal one-on-one mentoring with a senior financial coach located in Nashville.
His background includes working for over 35 years in Ag finance and appraisal. Since retiring in 2013, Ron hs worked for The Water’s Edge as Business Manager. His role with the church includes budgeting, financial reporting, and working with the building and leadership teams.
Ron has always had a strong interest in personal finance. He has a passion for helping people reach their financial goals such as preparing for retirement, building wealth; or getting out of debt. In addition to his training, Ron draws on his personal experiences that led to his retirement. These experiences include both things done well and some things that could have been done better – many of these learned from Financial Peace University and his recent training.
