Serving the Church

Ways to Serve The Water’s Edge Church

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:28

We believe we most look like Jesus when we serve. We have dozens of ways to serve each other, our children, our guests, and our community.

What is First Serve?

First Serve is a one-time, no-obligation serving experience, meant to give you a first hand encounter in a ministry area alongside others, followed by a meaningful dialogue with a ministry leader. The ministry leader will talk with you about what you liked, have questions about, as well as help you decide if you want to join the team for a season or look into another First Serve that might fit you better.

The best part about First Serve is that there is no pressure! If you try an area and realize that it is not a good fit, there is no obligation to continue. We will help to plug you into another area. Questions? Fill our quick form or email Gaileen Krebs.

WE Care: For Those Who Feel Led to Care

The Water’s Edge has a caring ministry called WE Care. All of our WE Care advocates are volunteers. These dedicated men and women have received and continue to receive ongoing training to care, pray, listen, and serve individuals. If you want to learn more about serving on this ministry team, email info@weomaha.com. It is a great way to make a difference in the lives of others.
