More Ways To Give
Electronic Funds Transfer
Setting up an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is the preferred way to give to The Water’s Edge. Recurring giving makes a statement that practicing generosity and investing in God’s Kingdom is your top priority. You are giving to God first. Recurring giving also sets The Water’s Edge up for success by giving us a predictable income stream.
Text to Give
Giving has never been easier! Text GIVE to (402) 850-2420 to make a gift. First time donors will need to register with a credit or debit card. Don’t forget to save the number in your phone! You can always text EDIT to update your information, set up a recurring gift, and check the status of a gift.
Cash or Check
Checks and cash gifts are also accepted; these gifts can be provided weekly at worship or mailed to The Water’s Edge Church Office. Please identify the purpose of the gift on the check.

Qualified Charitable Distributions and Required Minimum Distributions
For those aged 70 1⁄2 and older, making tax-favorable charitable gifts from IRA accounts is possible. This is known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
A total of up to $100,000 per year can be transferred directly from IRAs to a qualified charity, such as The Water’s Edge, free from federal income tax. There may also be state income tax savings.
Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you reach age 72.
A QCD can help meet your RMD requirement. By giving all or part of your RMD, you can practice generosity and benefit from substantial tax savings. Many of our donors in this age group are giving from their RMD. To donate from an IRA, it is important to donate directly from the IRA to the church.

WE have adopted an entire neighborhood in north Omaha, Miller Park. And our WE Assist fund helps people with short-term needs, providing a bridge to help them through a difficult time.
