What Do Donuts & Singing Have In Common?

A Message From Pastor Craig

Donuts and Singing

The leadership team and staff made a decision to resume donuts and singing starting this weekend. Some of you wanted this a long time ago, some of you will think this is the appropriate decision at the appropriate time, and some think this might be a bit soon. WE have tried to balance accessibility and responsibility during this pandemic. I have already heard many are excited about the donuts and I know that band is excited about the music.

A Bible Verse that Spoke to Me This Week

I can’t say that Lamentations is a regular part of my Bible reading, but that is what I have been reading this week. I was sitting in the basement the other morning watching the sky transform from night to day and read this:

 How enduring is God’s loyal love;
the Eternal has inexhaustible compassion.
Here they are, every morning, new!
Your faithfulness, God, is as broad as the day. -Lamentation 3:22-23

I was reminded that God’s love for me is loyal, inexhaustible, faithful, and full of compassion. And that everyday is a new day full of possibilities and full of compassion.

Old School

For five weeks in May, starting this Sunday, we are going Old School. Old songs, old prayers, old scriptures—more relevant than ever to today’s world. It will be fun. More importantly—WE will grow as followers of Jesus together.

WE Are Hiring!

The Water’s Edge is searching for our next Director of Children’s ministries. Don’t worry, Michele is staying with us. She is doing our videos, worship planning, social media, web site, and other things too! The primary responsibility for this position is to lead the volunteers who serve infants through 5th grade students. We are looking for a creative follower of Jesus who is enthusiastic about reaching children and their families in a post-pandemic world. This position will work on a collaborative staff of energetic and passionate ministry professionals. This is most likely a full-time position, but we will consider people interested in working part-time. To apply email gaileen@weomaha.com.
