About WE Youth
Middle School and High School isn’t easy. Life moves fast and everything changes during these years. As adolescents make the transition from children to young adults, they need people in their lives to help navigate the changes, challenges, struggles and questions they’ll face.
The youth ministry at The Water’s Edge (WE Youth) is a place where middle school and high school students can find a place to belong. Our staff and volunteers are caring adults who are passionate about helping connect youth to God and others, engaging them with fun activities and through Christlike relationships, and growing in faith through meaningful messages and conversations relevant to their lives.
WEYouth is for all students currently in 6th-12thgrades. If you have any questions, or would like some information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
First Wednesdays are an all youth (6th through 12th grade) gathering on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:45 PM. During First Wednesday gatherings, you’ll get an opportunity to hang out and meet new friends, worship together and hear relevant messages about how our lives and faith come together all in a fun environment. First Wednesdays are open to all middle school and high school students so be sure to invite your friends!

Retreats & Camps
Some of the biggest highlights of every year happen on our camps & retreats. Youth travel to a camp or retreat center for a week or weekend designed to help them connect with others, get away from their everyday life, and spend time experiencing and learning about how much God loves them and what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
Middle School Spring Retreat– Our Spring Retreat is a great opportunity to take a break from the normal routine and get away for the weekend. You’ll connect with friends, experience amazing worship, grow in your faith, and learn more about what it means to follow Jesus; all in a fun, distraction free environment.
Get ready for one of the greatest weeks of your life. Each summer, our students pack into vans and head out for a week of serving others, sharing their faith, and growing closer to God through trips that land them working with local service and community outreach organizations, doing home repairs, and spending time experiencing for themselves and showing others how great God’s love is.
High School Mission Trip– Every Summer, High School students from The Water’s Edge give up a week of their time to travel outside of the Omaha area and serve others. Typically, these trips involve travel time and youth group bonding, serving others through home repair projects, and a daily program and theme with worship, messages and devotion times with our work crews and youth group.
Our 2020 High School Mission Trip location & registration will be announced in mid-September. The trip is open to students who will complete 8th grade or higher during the 2019-2020 school year.
