Youth Ministry at The Water’s Edge

About WE Youth

Middle School and High School isn’t easy. Life moves fast and everything changes during these years. As adolescents make the transition from children to young adults, they need people in their lives to help navigate the changes, challenges, struggles and questions they’ll face.

The youth ministry at The Water’s Edge (WE Youth) is a place where middle school and high school students can find a place to belong. Our staff and volunteers are caring adults who are passionate about helping connect youth to God and others, engaging them with fun activities and through Christlike relationships, and growing in faith through meaningful messages and conversations relevant to their lives.

WEYouth is for all students currently in 6th-12thgrades. If you have any questions, or would like some information, please email chad@weomaha.com

Retreats & Camps

Some of the biggest highlights of every year happen on our camps & retreats. Youth travel to a camp or retreat center for a week or weekend designed to help them connect with others, get away from their everyday life, and spend time experiencing and learning about how much God loves them and what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Middle School Spring Retreat– Our Spring Retreat is a great opportunity to take a break from the normal routine and get away for the weekend. You’ll connect with friends, experience amazing worship, grow in your faith, and learn more about what it means to follow Jesus; all in a fun, distraction free environment.

Middle School Summer CampA week of Summer Camp is like nothing else. A chance to get away, connect with friends, explore your faith, have fun, and learn more about Jesus. It all happens in a place you’ll never forget that is designed with you in mind. Our next summer camp trip will be in the summer of 2021 and will be open to students who complete 6thor 7thgrade during the 2020-2021 school year.

Typically, these trips involve travel time and youth group bonding, serving others through home repair projects, and a daily program and theme with worship, messages and devotion times with our work crews and youth group.

Our 2020 High School Mission Trip location & registration will be announced in mid-September. The trip is open to students who will complete 8th grade or higher during the 2019-2020 school year.

Middle School Mission Trip– In 2020, Middle School students from The Water’s Edge will travel to another city to serve others through their local service and community outreach organizations.
