As you walk into the common’s area at Millard West, you will be warmly welcomed, but not smothered or interrogated. You are invited to enjoy breakfast. Nothing fancy. Just bagels, donuts, juice, and coffee. We have plenty of tables, including one for you. Feel free to come a little early.
If you have children, WE Kids offers classes during both our 9 and 10:30 AM worship services.
Your next stop is the commons area. This is where we gather for worship. No Sunday is the same as the Sunday before, so we encourage you to worship with us for a few weeks. We don’t stand up and sit down a lot, dance all over the place, or single people out. So if you like churches who do such things, we probably aren’t going to be the best fit for you.
Our worship is fun, relevant, inspiring, and challenging. Our worship leader is a blues singer. Our pastor has a doctorate in theology and wrote his dissertation on the use of humor in public speaking. We use as many creative elements as possible to communicate God’s heart to all of us.
If you are wondering what to wear—we suggest clothes. Jeans, shorts, sweaters, and shirts, seem to be the most common articles of clothing worn, depending on the season.
Most of all, it is our prayer that the worship experience is innovative, fresh, energetic, makes guests feel welcome, and makes all people want to invite others to see what God is up to at The Water’s Edge.
We invite you to come see for yourself!
